To Fight For Your Happiness

Learn to value yourself, which means: to fight for your happiness.
- Ayn Rand
Last night, instead of studying for today's midterm or posting this week's quote, I stayed up until nearly 2am talking and laughing with a friend.  I hope that you all have someone that you feel completely comfortable with, who will listen to all of your stories and wishes and fears, and be honest with you no matter what - someone who will help you fight for your happiness, as Ayn Rand puts it.

I'm taking a break. Next Monday is my two year anniversary with Boyfriend; I've changed a lot in the last two years and I don't love all of those changes. I need to do things for myself. I'll be on Twitter and Tumblr, and I'll be back. :]

  1. You may not love all of the changes that have happened in the past two years (and I'm not going to pretend to know what they are) but we all change and evolve and that is important. I'm going to leave it at that because I may go off on a tangent.

  2. I fight for my happiness every single second of every single day. I don't always win that battle, but I'm fighting the good fight, nonetheless.

  3. Hi Ella, I've just read your last 3 posts and it sounds like you've been going through a lot lately. I'm so with you on sometimes needing to take a break. That's something we all need at times. As you know, from my recent "Joy of Simplicity" post, I've been doing the same thing lately. I've reduced my number of posts per week and cut back on social media, overall time on the internet etc... And I'll tell you - it's helped me so much. I feel much more relaxed and centered now. I wish the same for you dear!
