Quote of the Week

If we did all the things we were capable of doing, we would literally astonish ourselves.
- Thomas Edison
This quote reminds me of another, from one of my favorite movies from high school, Empire Records (so many classic quotes from this movie!).  When asked how she has time to do everything, Liv Tyler's character replies that there are 24 usable hours in every day.  How many hours do we throw away every day when we could be doing something astonishing?  How much more could we be doing if we eliminated just ten minutes of idle time here and there? Just something to think about as you get ready to start your week! ♥

  2. This is so true. So many people will wait until something bad happens, or someone passes away or they get sick before they start living life to the fullest, not realizing that they can just as easily live life to the fullest as they are right now. There's nothing holding any of us back from being great. Nothing but ourselves.

  3. That's such an amazing insight. A friend had emergency surgery last week (nothing major, but surgery nonetheless) and she speaks of how GRATEFUL the experience has made her. We're young, so it's nice to be appreciative but still kind of troubling that it takes something like a health problem to make us realize just HOW MUCH we have and what we take for granted.
