Spectacles

When I was in fourth grade I failed a vision test at school.  My parents scheduled an appointment with the eye doctor and I spent hours imagining how sophisticated, elegant, and sexy I would look in glasses.  Obviously, the novelty has worn off considerably, but I still really enjoy picking out new frames.  I stumbled upon Zenni Optical a few years ago and have been lusting after their cheap frames ever since.  You mean I can get more than one pair of new glasses a year!??  I'm like a kid in a candy shop.  Here are a few of my favorites.

I couldn't help it... they're so pretty!

Matches EVERYTHING!

I should probably save the zebra accessories for when I'm the eccentric kindergarten teacher, but then I thought - why wait?

Don't worry, hipsters, Zenni's got you covered too.

My only complaint about Zenni is that you have to call up your eye doctor and get all of your confusing and weird prescription information so that you can actually see out of your fabulous and cheap glasses.  Definitely worth it, but still inconvenient.  Thinking real hard about buying this pair..

Just a Reminder...

All it takes is 21 days to start a new habit, break an old one, and make a change.  Three weeks.

New Beginnings

I have a confession.  I'm addicted to nail polish.  In 2010 I don't think I've gone a full 24 hours without nail polish on my fingers.  (Let's not talk about 2009.  It's over.)  But today is Monday!  And only the second day of August.  So I have a fresh start all around.  I (obviously) have nail polish on my fingers right now - Essie's Turquoise & Caicos, justsoyouknow -  and I don't really like nail polish remover so unless I get impatient I will probably just let this color chip off, but!  For the month of August, I vow not to put any more nail polish on my fingers.

That feels better.  Unfortunately, I also just bought two new colors.  I'm going to have to resist them until September... >:)

China Glaze "For Audrey" - the perfect Tiffany blue

Essie "California Coral" - recommended by Alice at La Vie en Peony

I love Mondays.. it's like a mini New Year's, every week. :)

Disclaimer

First, I'm really excited and glad that you're here.  But before we get started, there is something you should know: I have no idea where this is headed!  This is my second and a half blog and the others were abandoned due to a lack of direction.  While I can tentatively tell you that the focus of The Princess and the P is pretty things (which, to be honest, means things I love), that's really only a preliminary guess.

So I'm just gonna put it out there.  If you like it, you can take it, if you don't, send it right back.
